When you are ready to make a booking please call during office hours,
or email 24 hours. Immediate availability will be confirmed to you.
Any holiday booked less than 8 weeks prior to departure must be
paid in full at the time of booking. Any holiday booked more than
8 weeks prior to departure will require a deposit, as stipulated,
and the remaining balance is payable 8 weeks prior to departure.
This is applicable to bookings more than eight weeks before departure.
The deposit for the rental of the villa is 25% of the total rental.
This deposit is non refundable. We accept all major credit and debit
cards which are subject to an additional small bank charge. It is
also possible to pay by electronic bank transfer. For overseas clients
we also accept bank transfers, which will incur a small additional
charge, details on request. A confirmation receipt will be issued
to you when the deposit has been cleared. Please note that the balance
must be paid eight weeks prior to your departure, should the balance
not be received the booking will be cancelled.
This is required for bookings less than eight weeks before departure.
Full payments are for the total villa rental. Swift payment would
be appreciated, we will then forward full confirmation details and
final details for your holiday arrangements approx 2-3 weeks before
you travel.
At present no visas are required for people holding British passports.
If you hold any other passport (including British commonwealth)
please ask for advice or contact your appropriate embassy. It
is the responsibility of the guest to ensure that their documentation
is in order.
The E.C. law dictates that no one should travel without adequate
travel insurance. Please ensure that all party members are covered,
on no occasion should you ever travel abroad without comprehensive
travel insurance.
Low cost flights now operate every day into Faro airport. Charter
flights to Faro operate mainly on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Please be aware of our villa changeover day, as this may not correspond
with flight availability. We do not have any involvement with flight
arrangements.
All of our villas have been carefully selected and are described
as accurately as possible on our website. The villas are very comfortable,
modern and clean throughout, and reflect the individual owners personal
tastes in furnishing, decoration and location. All properties are
fully equipped for self-catering purposes and have refrigerators
and cooking facilities, for full descriptions please see individual
villa information, should you have any questions or queries please
ask. Villa Managers and Agents are totally responsible for upkeep,
general maintenance and maid service.
Linen and towels are supplied, except beach towels. Gas, water,
electricity, are inclusive in the villa price. A private swimming
pool, terrace furniture and BBQ is provided in most of our properties
to enhance the enjoyment of your holiday.
Most of our properties will be able to supply any extra bed requirements,
please ask for details.
All
of our villas have television. Satellite TV where advertised does
not include access to any subscription channels, decoder cards are
not available in Portugal. No guarantee is applicable to any specific
channel receivable or the function of any card brought from the
UK in any decoder unit. Portuguese TV show English/American programmes/films
in English with Portuguese subtitles. Please note: Decoder boxes
will usually be analogue or older systems that do not receive all
the available channels. We cannot guarantee access to any channel.
Prior to your departure we will send you the local Villa Manager
/ Agent's name, address, telephone number and emergency telephone
number where applicable. They are responsible for the day to day
running of the villa and any related problems that may arise with
the property and will be your first point of contact. As many
of our guests request privacy, we do not have a resort representative.
Some owners require a deposit to be paid before arrival (Quintus
Court, Quinta Maria, Feliz, Bianca, Yucca, Hibernia, Casa Azul,
Laranjeira, Cerro Laranjeira, Alexandre, Mila, Sara, Alexandre,
Carvalho, Quinta Flores, Joshua, Havana, Quinta Sao Bras, Linda,
Lisa, Coelho, Clover, Marta, Sofia, Maya, Laura, Alex, Giselle,
Millenium, and Rosal apartments). This will be held in the form
of a credit card. In other villas we do not usually collect a damage
deposit prior to departure (this is at the owner's discretion).
Therefore should any damages or breakages occur at the villa you
must inform the villa manager or agent immediately. They will advise
replacement value and this should be settled with them without delay,
we accept no responsibility or liability for damages caused by the
travelling party. Exceptions may arise with same sex bookings,
younger travelling parties and luxury properties (details on request).
The maid will visit your villa at least once per week and they are
responsible for general cleaning, linen change once per week and
towels twice per week, please note that they do not work on Sundays,
national or local holidays. The maid will not wash-up dishes or
clean the barbeque, so please ensure this is cleaned before your
departure. In some of our properties the maid/caretaker may live
in private quarters within the grounds of the villa. The maids are
well aware of our clients privacy and respect our wishes in keeping
at a discreet distance. Properties include Lucia, Poco, Nandes and
Orquidea. Please ask if you require further details.
With regard to laundry service, most of our villas have washing
machines which are for the guests's use, however the maid may use
it to do the villa laundry. Please note that you are kindly requested
to vacate your villa at 10.00 a.m. on your day of departure so that
maids may prepare for the arrival of incoming guests. Your villa
will usually be ready upon your arrival from 2 p.m. It is customary
to leave a tip for your maid at the end of the holiday. However,
this is at your own discretion.
Electricity is 220AC with a 2-pin plug. Please be aware that some
facilities in Portugal are not as advanced as our own services in
the UK. In some areas electricity and water supplies may occasionally
be erratic, especially in the height of the summer season. Unfortunately
we are not responsible for any possible shortages as we do not operate
these services. You may find that the electricity in the villas
will occasionally "trip" if too many electrical appliances
are used at once, which can be easily remedied. Please locate the
trip switch when you arrive.
At the time of print all descriptions are given by us in good faith
and care is taken to ensure utmost accuracy. Should any known changes
arise in any of the villa descriptions or facilities we will endeavour
to inform you. You should note that on few occasions certain facilities
may require maintenance and may be temporarily withdrawn from use,
however, should any problems arise our villa manager will react
with speed to rectify any problems.
Should you wish to rent a cot or high chair a charge of £35
per week is applicable. Please reserve these items when making your
accommodation booking.
Special attention should be paid to your safety whilst on a villa
holiday, with particular regard to the swimming pool and children.
NEVER leave children unattended. If you require further information
please contact the office before departure.
In the same way that you would in your own homes, we would suggest
that you always lock windows, shutters and doors and set any alarm
(where installed), when you are not in the property. The majority
of our properties have safety deposit boxes for use, details on
request. In the event of theft, report this to the local GNR (police)
and ensure you obtain a police report covering the incident or loss,
in order to make a claim on your holiday insurance. Please note
we do not offer compensation resulting from activities of theft
or accept any responsibility for such matters.
We strongly recommend car hire especially as some villas are in
a remote area but more importantly because it gives you complete
flexibility to discover the Algarve enhancing the enjoyment of
your holiday. We would be pleased to recommend and refer your
car hire enquiries. The car hire company act as agents for Garv-rental
a local car hire company in the Algarve offering a first class
professional service. They will meet your flight at Faro and show
you to your waiting car explaining local driving regulations and
showing you the cars functions. Pre-booked car hire rental prices
are usually cheaper than rates offered locally, prices include
taxes, insurance, CDW, unlimited mileage, maintenance and breakdown.
We encourage you to book early as car groups availability are
limited.
We would be delighted to refer you to a local golf agency who can
book all your golf requirements and pre book requested tee –
off times at all the major golf courses in the Algarve. Please call
for further details.
Q. How
do we check if the villa is available?
A. Click
onto the villa page and you will find the prices and a ‘Book
Now’ option. Click onto this and complete the request form
and we will email the information to you. Alternatively, you can
give us a call during office hours.
Q. How do we make a booking?
A. When you are ready to make a booking please call during office
hours and have your credit or debit card details to hand as a deposit
of 25% of the total cost or full payment (if arrival date is within
8 weeks) will be required
Q. When is the full balance due?
A. 8 weeks prior to your date of travel.
Q. What methods of payment do you accept?
A. All major credit and debit cards which are subject to charges
of either 3% or £1.95 respectively. It is also possible to
pay by cheque (into a UK branch) or make a bank transfer.
Q. Can we hold a villa whilst confirming with other members
of the party?
A. Yes wherever possible. Normally for 24 hours.
Q. What is the changeover day?
A. Some of our owners prefer a Saturday but others are more flexible.
Q. What is the minimum length of stay?
A. In some villas it is 7 nights, others are more flexible. Most
apartments do not specify.
Q. Are transfers from the airport to the villa included?
A. No, but we can arrange these with a friendly, reliable local
company. Details on request.
Q. What does the price include?
A. Besides the rental, the gas, water and electricity are all included
in the price. Linen and towels, except beach towels are included
as well as a weekly maid service. Any pool and garden maintenance
is also included.
Q. Can the villa sleep more people than advertised?
A. Extra beds can sometimes be arranged for a charge of £85
per week but must be booked in advance. The number of people on
the confirmed booking are the only people who will be accepted upon
arrival.
Q. Where will l collect the keys?
A. This information will be sent to you approximately 2 weeks prior
to departure along with your driving directions, a map and some
general information.
Q. What time are we able to access the villa?
A. Most of the villas can usually be entered at 2 pm on day of arrival,
but this is subject to cleaning. Others (Havana, Quinta Sao Bras,
Linda, Lisa, Coelho, Clover, Marta, Sofia, Maya, Laura, Alex, Giselle,
Millenium and Monte da Quinta villas, townhouses and suites) can
usually be accessed from 4pm on day of arrival (subject to cleaning).
Q. What time do we have to vacate the villa?
A. 10 am to allow cleaning of the villa for new arrival.
Q. Do the villas have safety deposit boxes?
A. The majority of our villas have safes fitted (please ask for
details).
Q. Can we use our sky card in Portugal?
A. No. Decoder boxes will usually be analogue or older systems that
do not receive all the available channels. We cannot guarantee access
to any channel. We understand that Sky analogue ceased to operate
throughout Europe.

Q. Does
the property have air-conditioning?
A. We do have air-conditioned villas which are stated on the individual
descriptions, alternatively email or call. In some properties we
can arrange portable air conditioning units at an extra charge.
